Patricia M. DeVost, LCSW

Patty DeVost, Founder & CEO of Patty's Place Concierge Youth Mental Health Care is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor who has worked in the field in various roles and for a multitude of organizations for over twenty-three years.  Starting out in Albany, New York in 2000 she was an early intervention specialist, residential and foster-care placements lead, forensic court evaluator, youth crisis clinician, youth mental health programs consultant, private practitioner, family mediator, and school social worker.  When moving to Florida in 2016, Patty remained in education as a school counselor and provided emotional intelligence programming for both students and staff, knowing these skills help to promote positive mental health. Throughout her diverse career, Patty has been a constant innovator of meeting the needs of her clientele in alignment with the current times.  The advocacy she practices and outcomes accomplished in these areas are changing minds and methods about how to reach people in need. She founded Patty's Place with a belief that while traditional therapy and behavioral health services provide critical support and greatly benefit our Southwest Florida community in many ways, that one size does not fit all and innovative approaches to overall wellness for youth and families was a missing piece of the puzzle. Patty loves Southwest Florida and in her free time enjoys spending time in nature with family and friends. To best describe her, and like her favorite quote, she is the change you want to see in the world. She plans to leave  a solid footprint for others to follow when it comes to disrupting and changing how we think about and approach youth mental health care.

Patty currently specializes in work with youth and families navigating mental health and life struggles.  She is also versed in work with individuals, couples and groups. As a generalist practitioner Patty is experienced in depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, mood and personality disorders and relevant transitions throughout  life.. Her approach is through practicing authentically using her experience and expertise to help clients find their strengths and understand their role in their journey of self-care and healing. Patty is also a practicing Clinical Supervisor and enjoys sharing her skills and knowledge and guiding new professionals in the field. Her favorite quote is “be the change you wish to see in the world” Gandhi and that is what Patty strives to do every day.
