Sandra Smith, mental health CLinician

Hello, my name is Sandra Smith, MA, LAPC, NCC. I began my career working with special needs adults for almost 15 years. in 2016, I decided to take my passion for helping others to the next level and earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at South University. Over the past two years I have been a crisis counselor providing telephonic crisis intervention and de-escalation to those with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or battling addiction. I now want to transition my career from crisis intervention to crisis prevention by helping people navigate life’s challenges, heal, and move forward.

My approach to providing psychotherapy is collaborative, person-centered, conversational, and most of all non-judgmental. I focus on adults 18+ and my specialties are depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. I use an integrative modalities approach tailored to meet the needs of the individual. I cannot wait to meet you!
